"I remain involved within LTA after graduating because I enjoy getting together with my sisters, giving back to undergraduate chapters, getting to meet new sisters everywhere, networking, and bonding!"

"I made the decision to join Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. so that I can strengthen my self as a person, and gain an amazing support system that is part of the foundation I stand on, while I work on leaving my stamp on the world today."

"Lambda Theta Alpha has always been a safe space for me since my undergrad years at California State University, Long Beach. What made me continue after so many years was the growth and empowerment that sisters always offer one another. Truly Lambda Theta Alpha offers a family of unconditional support.

"It was a home away from home. The sisters that I met as an undergrad were very welcoming and I created many genuine friendships. I loved that LTA was very accepting of everyone, there was no mold that I had to fit into. I could really see the Unity, Love and Respect between sisters."

"If you knew me growing up, joining a sorority was not on my
list of priorities. As an undergrad, I didn't see myself 'fitting in' with the already established sororities on campus.
Upon research & talks amongst my friends, we found LTA.
There was something different about LTA & their sisters. They carried themselves with such confidence & were doing amazing things in our community. I knew immediately that this is
something that I wanted to be a part of. I helped establish the
then 'Interest Group' at the UC Davis campus. Unfortunately,
the chapter was not established before I graduated in 2010. I
was really bummed out until I found out that California's then Graduate chapter had been established in 2009. Upon
graduation I joined the 'Interest Group' & fell even more in
Love with LTA. After 5 years of initiation into this
organization, I remain active because of the sisters I've met &
because of the sisters that are yet to become sisters. I love
what our organization stands for & the fact that we empower
women to truly reach their maximal potential. I have LTA to
thank for my success in my career because the lessons learned through LTA have followed me everywhere."

"Arriving at CSULB was difficult for me; not only was I on crutches but I was the first one in my family to move to another city.
Naturally, I was ready to pack my bags and go home within the first week. But I knew I wanted to try and stay, thinking if I met other
students it would help me adjust. This is when I walked through
our Week of Welcome where all the organizations on our campus
showcase what they do for the campus and community. Here, I
saw Lambda Theta Alpha and unsurprisingly I gravitated towards
the chapter. I admired the confidence these ladies had and
attended an informational later that day. Having a family member
in the organization, I was already familiar with LTA but was
hesitant to join. Due to personal reasons, I stayed in the interest
group for two and a half years which allowed me to grow to know
the sisters in the chapter and sorority. Finally finding women who had the similar goals and aspirations was refreshing. I also
appreciated the fact that LTA accepted me for who I was. Lambda
Theta Alpha made Long Beach feel like home and grew to become my family away from home."

"I knew LTA was the right organization almost immediately.
The Sisters were passionate about defying the "sorority"
stereotype. They cared about their academics, were social
justice advocates, and encouraged one another to be the best
versions of themselves. As a young woman of color, I couldn't
have asked for a better support system. I am a better person today because of my decision to become an LTA. 10 years later, I am even more confident in saying 'LTA is the ONLY way.'"

pursue my academic and professional goals. Since I became a
sister, LTA has helped me develop as a leader and challenged me toexplore new areas that became my passion. I remain active and
involved in LTA because I genuinely believe in the impact our
sisterhood has on its members and their communities. I appreciate that LTA allows me to continue to grow as a leader while also
mentoring my sisters. LTA has truly become my way of life and one of the best decisions."

independent educated Latina woman. It has united me with a
diverse network of ladies who have become my role models

"LTA was definitely a home away from home for me and a support group that helped me get through a really tough event that
occurred in school. Even before becoming a sister I got a glimpse ofhow amazing their bond was and I automatically knew I wanted to become part of that support group to help other girls through their good times and bad."

"I chose Lambda Theta Alpha for many reasons. I wasn't able
to join during my college years and still yearned to be a part of something that I would be able to be a part of for life. I wanted to be a part of a strong group of womyn that would be able to
help me develop personally and professionally. Lambda Theta Alpha was a strong influence during college years as well as
post college, which was why I never gave up on becoming a
sister."

"I chose LTA because it was my safe space within a humongous university filled with unknowns and strangers. The wonderful women I met through the organization were my home away from home, which meant everything to me. This amazing organization connected me to other women who were and are my navigation in this hectic world as an undergrad as well as an alumnus. Through the hardships of studying and the now ever daunting professional development I continue to grow and learn. Each and every time I met a sister before and after becoming one myself, I feel their heartfelt warmth, genuine openness, and love which is the best way to describe my family of beautiful hermanas."

"I chose LTA because I wanted a great support system of
womyn who would help me grow academically as an
undergrad and professionally as an alumna. Now I want to be
able to do the same for those who come after me. Thank you
LTA for all the beautiful memories and continuous growth
throughout the years!"

"I was first drawn to LTA by the strong sisterhood bond I saw
between sisters. All the sisters I met were very welcoming. LTA has allowed me to practice what I love, community service, civic
engagement, philanthropy and improve my leadership skills. Most
importantly, I love being surrounded by strong, educated, career-oriented womyn who are making a difference in this world and are definitely a great support system. "

"I chose to become a sister of LTA as an undergrad at the end
of my collegiate career. Even though I was a part of the interestgroup for a short time, it was such an amazing experience
learning and growing with a group of girls who wanted the
same thing as I. By pledging as an alumna I was able to gain 9
line sisters that I can always count on. My line sisters helped
me transition from a college life to an adult life at home
without even knowing it. I can't thank LTA enough for all the
sisters, growth and knowledge it brings to my life. My reasons
for joining are always changing because what I get back from
LTA is so much more than I ever expected."

"Since my undergraduate years, LTA has always been my greatest
source of support and motivation to push through whatever
curveballs life threw my way. I found my second home in this
sisterhood, and formed truly beautiful friendships with amazing
women who I cannot imagine my life without. To this day, all of mysisters continue to inspire me in one form or another to be the best possible version of myself, and I hope to have that same impact in
the years to come."

"I joined LTA because I wanted to be surrounded by a group of powerful women who not only support each other, but also help ALL women grow into a better version of themselves. Being a woman of color & a 1st generation college student, I many times felt alienated & alone. LTA has become my safe space & a space where all are accepted and embraced. Not only has LTA been there to support me, but pushes me to be the best. I continue to be actively involved in our sisterhood through leadership because I see the impact it has not only on sisters, but within our communities. I am proud to be a part of the 1st Latina Sorority in the nation and one that continuously paves the way!"
